As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a valued role in continued feature development across our platform, as well as working alongside a team of developers driving user-centric enhancements across our application. You will have an opportunity to work in a functional programming paradigm to drive programming efficiency and to operate in a fully serverless environment. You will also get to tackle some exciting problems to improve our product capabilities, performance, scalability, and implement AI driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications through to successful implementation in an Agile/Kanban environment.
  • Develop native iOS and Android mobile applications with React Native and web applications using React.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and product designers to enhance application features.
  • Implement responsive UI designs with a strong emphasis on positive user experience.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL for efficient data retrieval.
  • Write clean, efficient and well documented code using TypeScript.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Understanding of testing best practices and the ability to implement testing strategies for front-end applications.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying web and mobile applications in a SaaS software environment.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 and React, including hooks and context APIs.
  • Experience with React Native, with preferred experience writing or maintaining native modules.
  • Experience with functional and object oriented programming design patterns and an ability to recommend using one paradigm over the other.
  • Experience with GraphQL and/or REST based services and service-based architecture
  • Experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX, etc.)
  • Experience with modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Token.
  • Strong experience in writing unit and integration tests using testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools like Cypress or Appium.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion to collaborate and share ideas.
  • UX focused approach to development.
  • Mobile development experience with Swift and/or Kotlin highly preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD development and organizational practices.
