Job Overview

The Lead Marketing Manager is a key marketing hire for VRChat and is therefore a foundational role for the company. This person will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate VRChat’s brand presence, drive customer acquisition, and contribute to our rapid growth.
The role reports into the CPO & EVP at VRChat, and will work closely with various stakeholders on the executive leadership team, the heads of various functions, and periodically interact with the VRChat Board of Directors as well.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

      • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
      • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for strategic marketing initiatives.

Campaign Development


      • Conceptualize, plan, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that support product launches and, drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement + retention (CRM).
      • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive and integrated campaign execution.

Digital Marketing

      • Oversee digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, to maximize online presence and customer acquisition.
      • Utilize data and analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize digital marketing efforts.

Brand Management

    • Manage and enhance the overall brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
    • Collaborate with design and content teams to develop compelling and on-brand marketing collateral.

Performance Analysis

    • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to measure campaign performance and ROI.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on marketing effectiveness.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (5+ years) in a product marketing/performance marketing role with significant ownership, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
    • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, trends, and best practices.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
