We are looking for a talented and experienced Marketing Design Lead with a 360 degree approach to join our dynamic team at Sporty Group. As the Marketing Design Lead, you will oversee a team of designers and play a pivotal role in shaping our creative direction.
In this role you will be hands-on in developing design strategies, evaluating design performance, collaboration and managing a growing design team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential
  • Develop visually appealing content for diverse marketing channels, including Google ads, social media platforms, display ads, with a focus on achieving both performance and brand marketing goals
  • Collaborate closely with our marketing, performance marketing, and brand marketing teams to understand project requirements and ensure that design solutions align with our business goals
  • Take ownership of the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards
  • Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and the exchange of ideas among team members
  • Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our design team remains at the forefront of the field
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data and analytics, to leverage insights and data-driven approaches in design decision-making
  • Play a key role in recruitment efforts, helping to identify and hire top design talent to expand our team

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Business or a related field
  • Proven experience in a design leadership role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to lead and inspire design teams
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and other relevant software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll be the bridge between our design team and other departments, so effective communication is essential
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A passion for fostering creativity and innovation within your team, combined with a keen eye for design aesthetics
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, making strategic decisions that drive our design efforts forward
  • A proactive and self-motivated mindset, always looking for opportunities to improve and enhance the design process
