​​About the Role:

Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help build a fast, reliable, and frictionless telemedicine end-user experience.

You Will:

  • Work seamlessly to collaborate with backend and quality engineers to spec, write, test, and deploy code that powers forhims.com and forhers.com.
  • Create engaging and responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies.
  • Brainstorm features with product managers and designers and guide decisions based on your knowledge of the codebase.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices, including meta tags, alt tags, and content optimization
  • Work with product managers and data scientists to develop and execute successful SEO strategies to enhance organic search visibility and traffic
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards and to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the development team
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing expertise and ensuring team growth
  • Maintain detailed documentation of code and processes, ensuring alignment with company and industry standards.
  • Actively participate in retrospectives and help drive continuous improvement in our process and culture

You Have:

  • 5+ years as a software engineer, shipping production code.
  • Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks (React, Next, GraphQL, Javascript, Typescript)
  • Experience in designing, building, and scaling web platforms
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend architectural strategies such as micro-frontends, SSR (hydration), server-side components, etc
  • Strong understanding of CSS, design principles, and component library creation
  • Experience with Headless CMS for building custom UIs using API-driven CMS
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Outlined below is a reasonable estimate of H&H’s compensation range for this role.

H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSU’s) so that H&H employees own a piece of our company.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location.

An estimate of the current salary range for US-based employees is $125,000$160,000 USD
