Relay is building an autonomous growth platform to help merchants scale e-commerce. Our suite of software tools allows merchants to automate key revenue generation workflows to drive organic growth and increase profitability.
The Relay ecosystem currently consists of five software businesses that accelerate merchant revenue growth through email marketing automation, user-generated content management, on-page conversion optimization, and bookings management.
Relay’s products are established as key tools in the SMB e-commerce revenue generation stack, servicing more than 35K customers globally, collectively generating>$1BN in GMV annually.
Relay is actively building the ecosystem by acquiring commerce enablement tools primarily serving e-commerce merchants on platforms including Shopify, BigCommerce, and Wix. Relay acquires ‘ready to scale’, oftentimes bootstrapped businesses, and invests in people, processes, and products to accelerate the product roadmap and growth.
Relay Commerce seeks a talented, experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. As a B2B/E-commerce SaaS-focused Content Marketing Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the strategy, planning, and execution of content for our portfolio products.
This position offers a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on content creation, allowing you to shape and refine our content vision while delivering high-quality content to engage our target audience. The Content Marketing Manager helps define brand standards and supports the Marketing Director in building out marketing collateral and other brand assets.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Drive Content Strategy: Refine our vision for Content at Relay and its portfolio products and develop a comprehensive content production roadmap to increase customer engagement.
    • Content Creation: Produce high-quality articles, product releases, email marketing messages, case studies, survey reports, and web copy.
    • Collaborate on content ideation, outlining, writing, publishing, and distribution/promotion.
    • External Stakeholder Coordination: Write content briefings for our external team and collaborate with freelance content writers to meet additional content requirements.
    • Content Performance Optimization: Identify content gaps and opportunities for improvement through continuous testing. Use Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and other marketing analytics tools to measure and improve content performance.
    • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Director, Design team, and other product teams to develop an effective content marketing strategy.
    • Reporting & ROI: Decide on the KPIs that define the content marketing success and reporting and present them to the internal team weekly/monthly/quarterly.

    • SaaS Content Writing Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in content writing for high-growth tech companies focusing on SaaS.
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Basic/Intermediate SEO Knowledge: Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to optimize content for search engine visibility.
    • Web Publishing: Experience publishing content and performing SEO updates on platforms like WordPress or WebFlow.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

    • Demonstrated ability to translate ideas into a marketing content calendar and manage production against agreed-upon deadlines.
    • Collaborative with strong partnering skills and the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands
    • Experience and proficiency in using programs like Webflow, Ahrefs, Figma (optional), and other tools of the trade, or willingness to adapt and learn
