Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our Recruitment and Sourcing team as a Social Media Engagement Intern. This role is perfect for someone passionate about social media, digital marketing, and community building. As a Social Media Engagement Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, increasing brand awareness, and fostering meaningful connections with our audience.

Job Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with overall brand messaging and marketing strategies.

Community Engagement:

  • Monitor social media channels to actively engage with our audience, respond to comments, and initiate conversations.
  • Identify and engage with relevant influencers, partners, and industry leaders to expand our online network.

Social Listening:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and conversations to identify opportunities for relevant and timely engagement.
  • Monitor brand mentions and sentiment on social media, and report insights to the team.

Campaign Support:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of social media campaigns to drive brand awareness and user engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging across all channels.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track and analyze performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media engagement, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Brand Advocacy:

  • Identify and nurture brand advocates among our followers and customers.
  • Encourage user-generated content and amplify positive customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a team player.

System Requirements

  • At least 15mbps for main internet and at least 10mbps for backup
  • A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup
  • Note: Back-ups should still be able to function when there is a power interruption
